The evening of the 6th July 2022 saw the year 8 Restaurant Club return after a two year wait!

This 'one night only' event was designed to stretch the skills of our more able pupils to plan, prepare, cook and serve a 3 course meal to Mr Legge and his invited guests. The pupils have worked hard since Easter to test run all the dishes and plan the evening.  This year, it was the honour of Mr Mockridge, Ms Locke, Mrs Lockhart, Mrs Glasbroook, Mr Beattie, Mr West and Mrs Gilbert  to attend.

The pupils prepared the table, designed invitations and even learnt how to fold napkins, as well as polish up their presentation and serving skills. The menu read as follows:

STARTER: Melon and orange cocktail or smoked mackerel pate with warm pitta bread

MAIN COURSE: Thai grilled chicken with rice and naan or vegetable risotto

DESSERT: a trio of desserts (raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake, summer fruit brulee and lemon cream and strawberry tartlets).
